We appreciate your interest in volunteering at Castle Dome Museum/Ghost town. Your support will assure the continuation of the museum's ability to preserve Arizona's past and bring the once vibrant Castle Dome City and Arizona s longest worked mining district back to life.
The museum, Castle Dome City, consists of old west stories about the people and events. The fluorescent mine tour, the heart of the district tour, and the Hull town tour are guided tours which occur during the week. There is also a food truck open 3 days a week run by
Folks come here to enjoy themselves and to learn some old Arizona history; thus, a volunteer needs to be friendly, good with the public, be able to converse with folks, and be able to answer most questions about the museum.
The museum is located 30 Miles from the foothills and 40 miles north of Yuma, at the base of Castle Dome Mt. The last 7 miles is a gravel road
Each person will be assigned his/her duties (nevertheless we would like you to let us know what you can do and/or would like to do.) Couples can work the same days if they desire. The job descriptions include: running the gift shop, which includes opening and closing the museum, Keeping the restrooms spic and span, greeting customers and dealing with the fees - maintenance, which includes fixing whatever needs to be fixed all over the museum, being a tour guide, and helping the gift shop worker - food truck worker, which includes making and serving an easy lunch Fri., Sat., and Sun.
